The iPad Mini is now availabe in the country through lazada.com.ph. I was right, the entry-level 16GB WiFi is priced below P20,000. I have no idea where else the iPad Mini is available in the Philippines. The Philippine website of Apple Store still has the iPad 2 on its product page– no iPad 3 or the new iPad so don’t expect it to have the iPad Mini.

I really don’t understand why it takes so long for Apple gadgets to reach the country officially when clearly, there is a huge market. But then an official Apple Store opening might kill other authorized Apple resellers like Power Mac and iStudio.
The cheapest iPad Mini available is P18,489. Affordable? I think so but I don’t want to spend that much especially if it’s only 16GB. Who’s getting one?
